[1st Circular] Planta Europa Wild Orchid Conservation Workshop, Hungary [1-6 June]

Planta Europa Network and the organizing committee would like to invite to participate in the Planta Europa Wild Orchid Workshop, to be held from 1-6 June in 2015 at the Department of Botany and Ecology of Károly Eszterházy College in Eger, Hungary 2014.

The purpose of the workshop is to bring together scientists from around Europe to exchange information in the spirit of the 7th Planta Europa Conference in Kolympari, Crete in 2014 and the Plant Conservation Strategy of Europe.

Participants will share their research experiences, practices and make partnerships and look for ways to expand the knowledge of wild orchid conservation practices as in situ monitoring, seed germination and vegetative growing, species conservation programs and reintroduction.

Eger is a popular historical town in Hungary which is situated at the intersection of the spectacular Bükk Mountains and the Great Plains and surrounded by valuable and nice vineyards. It is the seat of Heves County. Due to its educational profile the Eszterházy Károly College is both professionally and culturally integrated into the life of the city and determines the traditional treatment of natural areas. While on the one hand it operates as an intellectual base, by hosting various conferences along with scientific and cultural events and educational programs for the professionals of the region, the College actively contributes to the improvement of the cultural life of the citizens of the city and the region.

Registration for fee(full): 200EUR for PE members; 360EUR non PE members
Post-conference field-trip: 100€
After 30th April
Registration for fee(full): 450€
Post-conference field-trip: 250€

Registration fee includes: Flower party, abstract book, lunches and dinners and conference field trip to the Bükk National Park and Aggtelek National Park.
Conference field-trip fee includes: travelling and meals.
Accomodation is not included, you can book your accomodation in different good hotels, apartmans, rooms in Eger.
